About the position
One of our clients specializing Logistics is Looking for a Diesel Mechanic with the following Skills to take up a position at our Richardsbay Operation located in the Port.
Responsibilities & Requirements
The role involves.
- Heavy Duty Semi Rigid Maintenance & Repair 12 units
- Maintenance of Lifting Equipment, Forklifts 4-17ton, Straddle Carriers
- Maintenance Customised Machinery
- High degree of Safety Value and Safety Ethic
- Experience with Hydraulics and Auto Electrical advantageous
Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to maintain Operational and specialised equipment, Service vehicles and Plant machines, e.g., Toyota / Linde Forklifts, Service trucks, Generators, Telescopic Material Handlers, etc. and related equipment according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications. Take ownership of the machines or vehicles to be maintained by them, advising the Superintendent on the current condition of vehicles, and advising on best solutions for maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 certificate or relevant NQF level 4 qualification.
- A recognized Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience (as a qualified Artisan) in a vehicle maintenance workshop or support service infrastructure.
