About the position
Seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to maintain, improve, and build client websites. The ideal candidate is independent, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality front-end and back-end solutions. This is a long-term role with growth potential within a stable, ethical agency.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, optimise, and improve existing WordPress websites.
- Handle theme adjustments, plugin setup, front-end styling, and troubleshooting.
- Build full websites as required based on client needs.
- Resolve performance, UX, and functionality issues.
- Communicate directly with clients when needed.
- Collaborate with internal team members, including project managers and web leads.
- Manage multiple client websites concurrently.
Key Requirements
- 2-3+ years of solid WordPress development experience.
- Strong skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with theme customisation and child themes.
- Proficiency in at least two page builders: Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, or Gutenberg.
- Plugin configuration and optimisation experience.
- WooCommerce experience is an advantage.
- Bonus skills: performance optimisation, DNS/hosting knowledge, Git.
- Strong problem-solving ability, independence, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable being client-facing.
- Proven long-term commitment in previous roles.
- Strong WordPress portfolio and reliable communication skills.
