About the position
I'm currently looking for a Training Executive to take the lead in designing and implementing dynamic, results-driven training initiatives across the franchise network and corporate stores. This role is essential to ensuring operational consistency, upskilling the teams, and aligning their training framework with SETA requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in training within the QSR or retail sector, a deep understanding of franchise operations, and the ability to execute hands-on, high-impact training programs that drive operational excellence and elevate team performance
Key Responsibilities
- Training Program Development & Delivery
- Design, develop, and refine structured training programs for new franchisees and their teams.
- Roll out ongoing development and retraining programs for existing franchisees.
- Develop corporate store training programs to upskill internal staff and leaders.
- Standardize training material across the business for brand-wide consistency.
- Introduce and manage digital learning platforms for blended training delivery.
Operational Excellence & Brand Standards
- Ensure SOPs are effectively trained, understood, and implemented across all stores.
- Collaborate with Operations and Quality Control to maintain product and service consistency.
- Use mystery shopper tools and performance tracking to measure training impact.
Product Knowledge & Rollouts
- Develop and facilitate training on new product launches and promotions.
- Ensure store-level execution is aligned with marketing and product innovation.
- Work closely with the Product Development team to align training with updated menus.
Franchisee Onboarding & Support
- Create and manage a comprehensive onboarding training program for new franchisees.
- Provide hands-on store support during new franchise rollouts.
- Conduct post-launch coaching and performance check-ins.
Candidate Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience in training and development, ideally in QSR, food service, or retail.
- Familiarity with franchise operations and QSR service standards.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
- Experience in creating SOPs, training content, and e-learning modules.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Experience in performance evaluation and using training KPIs.
- SETA experience or involvement in WSP/ATR submissions.
- Exposure to digital learning platforms (e.g., LMS systems).
- Strong ability to coach, mentor, and inspire diverse teams.
