About the position
Job Purpose:
To drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing inbound and outbound calls, and nurturing customer relationships. The successful candidate will play a key role in generating leads, closing sales, and supporting the external sales team with administrative coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make outbound sales calls to prospective and existing clients.
- Respond to inbound sales enquiries professionally and promptly.
- Understand customer packaging requirements and recommend suitable products.
- Generate and follow up on quotations, sales orders, and delivery updates.
- Maintain CRM system with accurate and up-to-date customer records.
- Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets and KPIs.
- Collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to ensure timely fulfilment.
- Assist in identifying market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
Requirements:
- Proven telesales or internal sales experience (2-3 years preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in packaging, FMCG, or distribution sectors is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Target-driven, resilient, and customer-service oriented.
- Matric certificate (minimum); tertiary sales or business qualification beneficial.
