About the Position:
We are looking for an energetic, outgoing team member with proven sales ability and excellent English communication skills, for telesales and contact with the company's retailers. Working from our sales office, you will communicate regularly with our southern Africa network of health retailers, via telephone and email.
Main tasks will be:
- invoice processing on Sage Cloud Accounting
- answering incoming telephone calls
- asking for, and obtaining, orders for the company's products
- ensuring daily orders are efficiently processed and, via communication with the warehouse, ready for courier collection daily
- courier waybill creation and monitoring
- the building of brand business through excellent communication skills
- disseminating brand and product information
The Minimum Standard Requirements for application to this position are:
- your own vehicle (making you independent of public transport)
- you live in, or close to, the southern suburbs of Cape Town
- at least 3 years sales experience with contactable references
- excellence in spoken and written English plus one other official language
- proof of proficiency in using Sage, Pastel or similar invoicing system
- proof of intermediate level proficiency with MS Word, Excel & Outlook.
The Telesales and Contact Desk Clerk requires the following skillset:
- excellent communication and influencing skills
- a high degree of fluency in the speaking and understanding of English
- an outgoing personality, who can work well in a team
- good time-management shown by excellent diary and work planning
- good attention to detail (you will be tested via psychometric testing)
- an excellent (referenceable) attendance record
The ideal Candidate will demonstrate he/she:
- is capable of learning about, explaining and selling the company's products
- has strong tele-sales and communication skills
- can build and maintain good relationships with our store buyers
- can identify and close new store leads
- can coordinate and manage all daily incoming orders, to be delivered within stated turnaround times
- can problem-solve, being able to identify and resolve issues related to the job quickly, effectively and independently
- is respectful, culturally inclusive - with a high multi-cultural EQ and has no problem integrating across the cultural spectrum
