About the position

About the Role:
The Telemarketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving new business growth within the B2B vehicle tracking and fleet management sector. This position is responsible for proactively engaging prospective customers through outbound cold calling and ensuring that the New Business Sales Hunters nationwide have well-populated diaries with high-quality, qualified appointments. The role requires strong communication skills, resilience, and a results-driven mindset to consistently generate meaningful sales opportunities.

Job Functions:
Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage potential customers through outbound cold calls within the B2B market.
  • Research and identify key decision-makers and prospective clients within target industries.
  • Professionally introduce the company, its products, and its value proposition in a compelling and engaging manner.
  • Secure high-quality, qualified appointments for the New Business Sales (Hunting) Team.
  • Accurately capture, update, and maintain detailed customer information within the CRM system.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to align on target markets, lead quality, and appointment-setting strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric certificate (essential).
  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Customer Service, or a related field (advantageous).
  • Relevant telemarketing or sales-related certifications (advantageous).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a B2B environment within customer retention, account management, customer service, or sales support.
  • Previous experience in telemarketing, cold calling, or lead generation roles (essential).
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule appointments and build rapport and relationships telephonically.
  • Experience within the fleet management, telematics, or vehicle tracking industry (advantageous).
  • General understanding of fleet management or telematics solutions (beneficial but not essential).

Skills

  • Strong resilience and the ability to perform effectively in a target-driven environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, and documentation skills.

Systems Knowledge

  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Sage, Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems to track and manage customer interactions.

***TCTC - R13,000.00 (Negotiable, based on skills, experience and in relation to current package)
