About the position
The Technical Support & QA Specialist plays a dual role in supporting both operational and quality assurance functions. This individual will assist the broader support team with technical troubleshooting, including application logs, database queries, and basic OS-level diagnostics. Additionally, they will contribute to the QA process by validating technical aspects of the system, ensuring data integrity, and verifying that logging and monitoring mechanisms are functioning effectively.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
Technical Support
- Provide technical assistance to the support team across applications and infrastructure
- Investigate and interpret application logs to identify issues
- Query and inspect database tables for data accuracy and structure
- Perform basic operating system support tasks (e.g., SSH access, file inspection, service status)
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to escalate and resolve technical issues
Quality Assurance
- Participate in QA planning and execution across projects
- Validate that application logs are present, structured, and useful for debugging
- Ensure database entries are correct and follow expected schemas
- Support automated and manual testing efforts with a technical lens
- Assist in defining and maintaining QA standards for technical validation
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in technical support or QA roles within software development environments
- Familiarity with application logging tools and formats (e.g., ELK stack, Azure Monitor)
- Basic SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
- Comfort with Linux/Unix environments and SSH-based troubleshooting
- Understanding of QA methodologies and testing processes
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams
