About the position
A rare opportunity for a practical, technically minded professional who thrives both on site and behind the scenes. Is this you? What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) Where you'll be doing it What you'll need What you'll get How to apply We do respond to everyone! Just give us a few days to work through your application.
You're a grounded, reliable and hands-on individual who enjoys switching between tools, technical processes, and people-facing work. You think like an engineer but stay practical; you build strong relationships with contractors, EPCs and internal teams alike. You're mature, structured, collaborative, and happiest in a flexible, non-corporate environment where everyone rolls up their sleeves. You enjoy problem-solving, take ownership, and want long-term stability and growth in a close-knit, high-performing team.
You'll split your time between site and office, supporting installations, conducting QA/QC inspections, commissioning activities, and providing aftersales, warranty and O&M support. You'll work closely with contractors, lead installation training, perform technical testing and demonstrations, and manage subcontractors to ensure quality and compliance. In the office, you'll support operational processes, assist supply chain and warehouse teams, contribute to documentation, develop tools and workflows, and help refine service, QA/QC and reporting systems. This is a varied role where your practical insight will directly improve delivery standards and customer satisfaction.
You'll join a globally backed renewable-energy engineering organisation known for delivering high-quality solar mounting solutions across Southern Africa. The environment is agile, collaborative and highly technical, with a strong commitment to quality, safety and long-term client partnerships. You'll be part of a small, hardworking team where your contribution genuinely matters and where growth opportunities emerge as operations expand.
You'll bring a Matric plus a technical qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, along with at least five years' experience in construction, manufacturing or technical environments. You're confident on site, familiar with HSE compliance, subcontractor management, QA/QC standards and basic project delivery. You're proficient with tools, MS Office and CAD, physically fit, fluent in English and Afrikaans, and comfortable travelling frequently. ERP exposure and HSE certifications would be an advantage.
A competitive salary, strong long-term growth potential, exposure to national and regional projects, and the chance to help shape a developing service function in a respected global engineering business.
