Tax Compliance Officer

About the position

A well-established accounting and auditing practice is seeking a Tax Compliance Officer to join its team in Maitland, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance matters for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timeous submissions to SARS, maintaining compliance with relevant tax legislation, and providing support on tax-related queries and administrative matters.

Experience Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Previous experience in a tax compliance environment
• Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS processes
• Experience with SARS eFiling and tax administration
• Experience preparing and submitting individual and company tax returns
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax-related software systems
