Introduction
The position of Supply Chain Management Compliance Specialist is vacant. The Supply Chain Management Compliance Specialist will report directly to the Senior Manager: Supply Chain Management and forms part of the Finance Division. The position is based at Head Office in Pretoria
Total remuneration package for this position is negotiable based on qualifications and experience
Duties & Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Management Compliance Specialist will, inter alia, be required to perform the following functions within the Finance Division under the supervision of the Senior Manager: Supply Chain Management through the implementation of the following:
- Develop, implement and oversee a comprehensive supply chain compliance framework, inclusive of procurement and the supplier database, aligned with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements
- Promoting adherence to regulatory frameworks impacting SCM (CMS, MSA etc.)
- Establish internal controls for procurement processes to ensure ethical and transparent practices
- Input, draft and review supply chain policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
- Providing template and SOP input towards compliance
- Researching regulatory requirements for various commodities
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on supply chain operations
- Establish robust supplier performance management frameworks and oversee contract compliance
- Conduct risk assessments of supply chain management operations and develop mitigation strategies
- Coordinate audit finding resolution and implementation across supply chain functions
- Develop compliance reports and analyse procurement data to identify trends and opportunities
- Ensure proper documentation management and maintain audit trails for all Supply Chain Management processes
- Assess and promote procurement and quotation process compliance and provide strategic guidance on compliance matters to senior management
- Conduct training sessions on compliance requirements and new policies for Supply Chain Management processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to promote compliance best practices
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or similar/ related in Supply Chain Management, or Audit, or Legal, or related field, enabling interrogation of work according to the required standards in the supply chain management environment
- Minimum 5 years of middle management experience in supply chain management compliance, procurement, audit or governance
- Detailed understanding of legislation/regulation impacting supply chain management activities
