Supply Chain Coordinator - Graduate Opportunity
Our client, a leading vertically integrated citrus producer, packer and exporter, based in the Citrusdal Valley, is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their export marketing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a BSc or BEng degree who is looking to launch their career in supply chain, planning, logistics and agricultural exports.
The marketing team's strategic objective is to position Mouton Citrus as a preferred supplier to global retailers and selected target markets within the international citrus industry.
The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination, planning and continuous control of internal supply chain processes, ensuring the effective flow of product from production and packing through to local and export sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, monitor and coordinate product flow across production units, packhouses and markets, using supply data, packing capacity, demand and sales requirements to guide daily planning decisions.
- Work closely with procurement, marketing and sales teams to determine the optimal supply and demand solution across multiple production units and packhouses.
- Issue packing instructions to packhouses in line with the supply and demand plan.
- Manage order adjustments and ensure effective execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with material planning and procurement.
- Prepare reports highlighting supply risks, packing progress, market allocation and recommended actions.
- Monitor supply and demand information and identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Support the team in making accurate, commercially sound planning decisions.
Essential Requirements
- BSc or BEng degree in a relevant field - this role is suitable for a recent graduate.
- Strong numerical and analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns and translate information into practical planning decisions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under time constraints.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Self-motivated, driven, resilient and humble.
- Strong attention to detail and an eagerness to learn.
- A genuine interest in supply chain, planning, logistics, agriculture or international exports would be advantageous.
Ideal Candidate
This position would suit a BSc/BEng graduate who is analytical, commercially minded and enjoys working with numbers and data. The successful candidate does not necessarily need extensive prior supply chain experience; the key requirement is a strong academic foundation, numerical and analytical ability, and the potential to develop into a supply chain professional.
