About the position
A well known medical company is looking for a Supply Chain Controller to join their team in Sandton, Johannesburg. Individuals who apply must have medical / surgical / hospital / pharmaceutical industry stock control experience. Own transport and valid drivers license is essential.
Supply Chain Controller processes daily supply chain related task ensuring that inventory is accurately tracked, optimized, and aligned for customers within various hospital groups. Fostering collaboration between all divisions to enhance efficiencies
Supply Chain Control
Ensures that daily Transfer of Consignment (TC’s) processed via the Teams workflow, capturing and providing feedback to the Sales team
Submitting of consignment check count sheets to the Clinical Specialist (CS’s)
Distributing of Stock Valuation Reports when required
Ensuring that the tracking of consignment form is correct
Ensuring good relationships with the stock controllers at the hospitals
Assisting with upliftment’s and emergency deliveries
Assist the Customer Service Department with problems which they have difficulties within terms of stock queries
Manage the rotation of stock based on the Risk Exposure Report as well as 9 months and longer stock at hospitals
Sourcing of stock and rotate accordingly to hospitals
Minimise stock write off through effective rotation and levels management
Monitor and manage excess inventory, slow moving and obsolete stock
Maintain optimum inventory levels
Ensuring that filing of documents and housekeeping is maintained
Ad-hoc deliveries of emergency stock and kits in the Gauteng region and assisting Outbound when a driver is required
Hospital Inventory Counts
Assist with completing physical consignment stock checks at hospitals around Gauteng, including any outlying areas if required
Organize stock in the hospitals by product group, size and expiration date
Liaise directly with company representatives with regards to stock issues in hospitals
Re-labelling of stock at the hospitals when required.
Vehicle Maintenance
Obtains authorisation for vehicle servicing and repairs and ensure regular maintenance is performed
Takes due care in ensuring the vehicle's security and maintenance (Oil, tyres, etc.)
Keeps an accurate logbook of all KM's travelled and submit to Facilities
Perform vehicle inspection and submit inspection sheets once a week.

Education, Knowledge and Skills Required:
Matric and 2+ years of experience in similar role
Medical / surgical / hospital / pharmaceutical industry stock experience is essential
Valid driver’s licence and own transport (requirement)
Experience with inventory or ERP systems (e.g., SAGE Evolution)
Inventory Control knowledge (requirement)
MS Office and Excel
Strong diligence and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
