Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed rebar bending schedules and drawings for structural projects
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop accurate rebar placement details
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure designs meet all project requirements
- Review and verify all details for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with SANS codes
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and documentation
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the construction phase
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of rebar materials
- Assist with rebar inspections on site
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Structural Rebar Detailer
- Experience with rebar detailing software
- Certificate or similar in rebar detailing (preferred only)
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, CADS RC, Autopads or similar)
- Strong understanding of construction principles, rebar detailing, and reinforcement techniques
- Ability to interpret and analyse architectural and structural drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to rebar detailing
