About the position
?? Role Purpose
To provide enterprise-wide application support within an integrated run-and-build environment by ensuring the stability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of critical banking applications. The role combines DevOps practices, application lifecycle management, and production support to deliver reliable technology services aligned to business needs.
?? Key Responsibilities
Application Support & Operations
- Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise applications, ensuring availability, performance, and reliability
- Diagnose incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes
- Manage SLAs, disaster recovery processes, backups, and system resilience
DevOps & Continuous Improvement
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automation, and configuration management
- Manage application upgrades, patches, and performance optimisations
- Support containerised and cloud-based application environments
Application Lifecycle Management
- Oversee application deployments, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance
- Ensure application documentation, standards, and compliance are maintained
- Coordinate across development, infrastructure, and security teams
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as liaison between business users, vendors, and IT teams
- Translate business requirements into technical application improvements
- Support training, documentation, and user enablement
Governance, Risk & Control
- Apply IT service management standards and best practices
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Support vendor assessments, RFP processes, and compliance requirements
?? Minimum Requirements
Education
- B-Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience)
Experience
- 3-5 years IT or IT consulting experience
- 3-5 years in application management and production support
- Strong background in application diagnostics and incident resolution
- Experience within banking or financial services environments
