About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join Banking Client Technology Architecture Team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in designing and delivering client-focused technology solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and regulatory requirements within a dynamic financial services environment
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver end-to-end solution architectures that enable client-centric capabilities.
* Translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical designs.
* Ensure compliance with company's architecture principles, governance frameworks, and financial services regulations.
* Provide technical leadership during implementation, including vendor/development team coordination and architectural quality assurance.
* Produce high-quality architecture artefacts and documentation.
* Advise on technology trends, integration strategies, and optimisation opportunities.
What We're Looking For
* 5+ years' experience as a Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments, preferably in financial services.
* Strong knowledge of integration patterns, modern application architectures (microservices, APIs), and data architecture.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification.
* Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science/Information Systems or Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) or BCom in Information Systems / Informatics or applicable BSc Engineering
* Experience in consultancy or vendor-led delivery models.
Soft Skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
* Collaborative mindset with a focus on knowledge sharing.
* Ability to deliver under pressure and tight timelines.
