Mission/ Core purpose of the Job:
- Lead the development of complex architectural solutions for deals from pre-sales to proposal and delivery, stitching together appropriate assets and contributing to commercial modelling.
- A deep technical expert in Solution Architecture who works with the Solution Sales leads in the translation of eTOM/ TOGAF frameworks, Blueprints and Converged Solution Architecture/assets into pre-sales and sales marketing collateral for the Business Line area.
- Work closely with the Solution sales to develop effective pre-sales and sales collateral that articulates both the underpinning architecture as well as the business benefits of proposed Business Line solutions.
- Directly drive technical solution and architecture for pre-sales/RFPs within the Business Line.
- Provide direct support on pilot, initial and priority implementations, conducting reviews post implementation to update architecture and solutions to standardise solutions that can be replicated and industrialised.
Job Outcomes / Results:
- Deliver on technology architecture and catalogue of matured, reusable, industrialised Solution assets to drive revenue growth, aligned to defined solution portfolio.
- Ensure effective solution architecture that drives revenue, client satisfaction and profitability.
- Ensure the timely delivery of Business Line solutions.
- Lead capability build and develop a community of practice among Business Line Architects, driving appropriate standardisation/ customisation in line with defined principles.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME), provide pre-sales and post-sales support, and identify product/configuration gaps.
- Conduct business requirements analysis and research to contribute to Solution Discovery & Design.
- Deliver proof of value and proof of concepts (POCs) through product demonstrations and roadmap presentations.
- Draft proposal responses to Request for Proposal (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs) and Request for Quote (RFQs).
- Gather in-depth understanding of business, interpret requirements, and align sales strategy with objectives.
- Educate clients on products, while recommending future architecture and advising on possible budget constraints.
- Perform additional tasks, such as creating bill of materials and providing go-to-market team support and enablement.
- Act as technical advisor and ensure customer strategic alignment with company products.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and design and deliver solution architectures.
- Contribute to documentation, development of reusable assets, and conference presentations.
- Kept up to date with industry trends, new technologies, competitor landscapes, and maintain commercial awareness.
- Worked cross-functionally to understand needs, roadmap and implement solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with development of training programmes and internal stakeholder customer training/skills transfer.
Education, Skills and Experience:
Education:
- Minimum 3-year Degree / bachelor's degree in Business/ Commerce, Marketing, Sales or a related field
- Relevant Cloud certification
- Azure, AWS or Google Solution Architect or
- Microsoft certifications: MS 102 etc.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of technology and business transformation related experience in sales;
- 3-5 years' experience specifically selling or delivering services in a Telecommunications,
ICT/Technology, systems implementation or Consulting environment - 3-5 years' experience in partnering with business functions to translate business needs into technology solutions
- Ability to analyse complex systems and identify connectivity flaws and vulnerabilities
- Ability to deliver multiple solutions
- Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous.
- Experience working in a medium to large organisation.
