About the position
DBN000219 – Senior Softs Merchandiser – Durban North
Purpose of the Job:
Develops and sources products that meet customer needs and drives growth through trends and strong supplier relationships.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualification in Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 5 years’ experience in a senior merchandising role in retail, wholesale, or import.
- Knowledge of soft furnishings and textiles.
- Understanding of retail and wholesale supply chain operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage softs product ranges using market trends and sales insights.
- Source products that meet quality, price, and delivery requirements.
- Monitor inventory and manage orders to ensure stock availability.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Review product performance and maintain compliance with company policies.
