About the position
We are partnering with a well-established firm in Johannesburg that is actively seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) to lead their QS department and mentor junior professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with strong commercial insight and technical proficiency.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
- Cost Management: Preparing detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, Bills of Quantities, and schedules of rates.
- Financial Control: Managing monthly valuations, payment certificates, and preparing interim and final accounts.
- Leadership: Leading the QS department and providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Compliance: Ensuring robust financial control and a solid understanding of contractual and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience.
- Professional registration as a Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) is essential.
- Strong commercial insight and technical proficiency.
