Senior Project Manager -Interior Design Excellence, Cape Town
A company specializes in comprehensive space planning, conceptual design, 3D visualisation, and digital walk-throughs, supporting clients to reimagine their environments with leading-edge creativity and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Inspire: Manage a small project management team, overseeing projects from inception to delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and team growth.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership on project feasibility, fee structures, margins, and profitability.
- Financial Control: Compile, revise, and present project budgets; manage cash flow and invoicing schedules.
- Programme Management: Develop and maintain the master project programme.
- Execution Oversight: Control drawing versions, supplier selection, tendering, procurement, and compliance with specifications.
- Design Collaboration: Work closely with interior designers to bring creative visions to life.
- On-Site Leadership: Monitor progress and quality on site in line with project plans.
- Client Relations: Act as a trusted point of contact, nurturing strong client relationships.
- Project Handover: Oversee project close-out and seamless handover.
- Business Growth: Represent the brand and contribute to business development efforts.
Skills & Experience Required
- Relevant project management qualification.
- 5-7 years of experience in project management within the built environment.
- Exposure to interior design and a solid understanding of construction methods.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organisational and coordination abilities.
- Proficient in financial management and project planning tools.
- High-level numerical and computer literacy.
- Ability to problem-solve under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented mindset.
- Entrepreneurial acumen and a strong sense of business awareness.
- Comfortable working with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
