SENIOR PROFESSIONAL OFFICER: DATA PROTECTION
TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1 071 429 TO R1 504 720 PER ANNUM - REF NO: CS 113/25 - TMC OR CAPE TOWN
Requirements:
- A relevant three-year tertiary qualification, preferable a B-degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
- Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years' relevant experience required
- Standby on a roster to be performed
- Veritas Netbackup experience would be advantageous
- Valid driver's licence.
Key performance areas:
- Identify short, medium, and long-term objectives and plans for the enhancement of the backup and recovery solutions by keeping abreast of technological developments
- Direct and control outcomes associated with utilisation, productivity, and performance of personnel in the backup and recovery team
- Implement procedures, systems, and controls to regulate specific work and associated sequences associated with the functionality
- Manage the data protection of the SAP, Microsoft systems and Linux environments
- Manage the data protection of SAP and Microsoft SAAS solutions
- Manage data protection infrastructure including specialist data protection appliances, long term retention appliances and tape libraries
- Participate in projects through the life-cycle
- Optimisation of people skills and resources.
- Manage the formulation of contract and tender documents and controls contractual obligations.
