About the position
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join a high-performing enterprise transformation environment. This role will be responsible for driving strategic and tactical business process engineering initiatives across complex business and technology domains.
The successful candidate will play a key role in discovering, analysing, documenting, optimising, and communicating business processes to support operational excellence, digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and customer experience improvement initiatives. This is a senior-level role requiring strong business process engineering expertise, stakeholder engagement capability, analytical thinking, and the ability to operate across both business and technology teams. Experience within financial services, payments, or card-related environments will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis & Design
- Lead the discovery, analysis, documentation, and optimisation of end-to-end business processes.
- Conduct current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) process assessments.
- Develop process models, workflows, value streams, customer journeys, and operational blueprints.
- Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Drive process standardisation, simplification, and automation initiatives.
- Facilitate process redesign workshops with business and technology stakeholders.
Business Transformation
- Support strategic business transformation and operational improvement initiatives.
- Analyse the impact of organisational, regulatory, operational, and technology changes on business processes.
- Evaluate process improvement opportunities aligned to business objectives and customer outcomes.
- Assist in defining target operating models and process governance frameworks.
- Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with senior business leaders, product owners, operations teams, risk teams, compliance teams, and technology stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, process reviews, requirements gathering sessions, and solution discussions.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear process models and actionable recommendations.
- Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Process Modelling & Documentation
- Produce high-quality process maps, operating procedures, business rules, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain process repositories and governance standards.
- Ensure process documentation adheres to organisational standards and audit requirements.
- Support regulatory, compliance, and risk-related process documentation activities.
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Utilise process analysis techniques to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Support process simulation, performance measurement, and operational reporting.
- Define and monitor process performance metrics and KPIs.
- Drive data-informed decision-making to improve business outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Business Analysis, Process Engineering, Information Systems, Commerce, or a related field.
- Relevant process engineering certifications advantageous (Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, CBPP, etc.).
Experience
- 8+ years' experience in Process Engineering, Business Process Management, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence roles.
- Proven experience analysing and redesigning complex business processes within large enterprise environments.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Strong experience in process modelling methodologies and frameworks.
- Experience supporting large-scale business transformation and technology-enabled change initiatives.
- Financial services or banking industry experience highly preferred.
Advantageous Experience
- Cards, Payments, Acquiring, Issuing, Merchant Services, or Transactional Banking experience.
- Exposure to digital transformation programmes.
- Experience working across business and technology delivery teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory and risk-driven process environments.
