About the position

Career Opportunity: Senior Practitioner - Supply Chain Management (SCM) Compliance

An exciting opportunity has opened up with a leading municipality in Gauteng for a Senior Practitioner: Supply Chain Management (SCM) Compliance, passionate about governance, compliance, and making a real impact in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance with SCM policies, regulations, and frameworks.
  • Monitor and evaluate SCM processes to identify risks and irregularities.
  • Provide expert advice on legislation, PFMA/MFMA, PPPFA, and National Treasury regulations.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Public Administration, Law, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5-7 years in SCM compliance, governance, or auditing (public sector experience preferred).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of MFMA, PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations, and SCM frameworks.
