About the position
Southern Wind ShipYard is looking to employ a senior manager to manage aspects of our composites / lamination build. Reporting to the Production Co-ordinator, the successfull candidate will manage a team within the Lamination Department ensuring that products are manufactured in line with international quality standards and to production deadlines. Duties will include, liaison with the Drawing Office, Quality Control Department and Senior Production Management to ensure production outputs are met. Duties will also include managing employees in line with SWS Managerial standards, training and development, health and safety compliance, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards and ensuring team motivation and team work.
Desired Skills:
- Related Diploma/Degree
- Understanding of design and engineering principles
- Minimum 10 years boat building experience with a minimum of two years in a leadership role
- Initiaitve
