We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights using advanced analytics and AI/ML models. You’ll work with diverse datasets, develop predictive solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real business problems and drive data-powered decisions.

The Data Scientist is expected to perform the following.
- Identify data (structure and unstructured formats) required to meet business requirements;
- Create usable data subsets from valuable identified data sources ;
- Enhance data collection procedures to include relevant information required for developing the analytics capability;
- Validate the integrity of data to be used for analysis;
- Preprocess the data to ensure acceptable levels of quality;
- Identify appropriate Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning models;
- Fine-tune selected models according to the business requirements;
- Develop Machine learning algorithms to forecast future trends and outcomes;
- Develop solution code aligned with the selected models;
- Develop solution deployment packs;
- Deploy fine-tuned models in production;
- Select appropriate model features, optimize classifiers and identify patterns enable better predictions;
- Propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges;
- Predictive modelling -build models to forecast future trends and outcomes;
- Review the work of the team/others, allocate work and provide guidance and monitoring;
- Perform feasibility studies and experiments to determine the resolution of an identified business need;
- Identify relevant data sources (large structured and unstructured) to be used for analysis according to business requirements;
- Compile project schedule and related plan required to perform tasks;
- Participate in the procuring of technology services;
- Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders;
- Present proposed solutions to stakeholders; and
- Provide technical guidance on Data Science
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE – must provide proof of any experience
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline
- An industry certification in Data Science
- Minimum six years’ experience in the application of Artificial Intelligence models .
- Minimum six years’ hands-on experience with data science tools
- Minimum six years’ experience in the use of querying and programming languages such as Python, R, T-SQL, etc.
- Minimum six years’ experience in data mining, mathematics and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms and business intelligence technologies
- Experience in guiding project teams and ensure solutions are developed and deployed according to approved design
- Data Wrangling – proficiency in handling imperfections in data is an important aspect of a data scientist job description.
- Experience with Data Visualization Tools like matplotlib, ggplot, d3.js., PowerBI that help to visually encode data
- Excellent Communication Skills – ability to describe findings to a technical and nontechnical audience.
- Strong Software Engineering Background
