JOB DESCRIPTION
Key responsibilities:
Systems & Reporting - Formulating system strategies aligned to the business strategy
- Business process modelling and re-engineering.
- Managing and championing operational project implementations technical systems support to the merchandise teams and act as a liaison to IT.
- Involvement in Group technical/systems projects.
- Facilitate system testing, implementation and change management.
Supply Chain - Vendor Management.
- Inflow/outflow and DC stock holding.
Location Planning - Setting seasonal plans for stores across departments.
People Management - Building constructive and mutually beneficial relationships with Operations, Merchandise Teams and Dc.
- Develop, motivate and empower a central team.
Conducting business analysis
- Merchandise reporting & analytics for processes and systems
- Including Managing Plan rollups across the departments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- 5+ years' proven merchandise distribution and planning experience
- A high degree of numeracy and an analytical. detailed and strategic approach to work
- Strong business acumen, merchant thinking, as well as store and customer understanding
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiating skills
- A high degree of decision-making ability
- Service orientated and self-motivated
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Assertive communication skills and the ability to communicate and develop relationships at all levels
- Computer literacy
- Product knowledge will be advantageous
- Knowledge of Logility System advantageous
