About the position

Our client, a leader in the Telecommunications / BPO sector, Durban, is looking to fill the position of Senior BI Analyst.

Purpose of the Role:
To lead reporting, dashboarding, and performance analysis across telecoms products and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse telecom data (subscriber, billing, campaign, and usage data).
  • Monitor and report on KPIs (ARPU, churn, revenue, campaign ROI).
  • Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI and Jasper reports.
  • Translate business requirements into data models and reporting solutions.
  • Automate reporting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with IT and data teams.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and resolve escalations.
  • Deliver monthly and ad hoc reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Grade 12 Senior Certificate
  • Degree or Diploma in IT, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in BI / Data Analysis
  • Strong SQL, Power BI, and Google Analytics
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Jasper Reports)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure

Advantageous:

  • Power BI (MS Fabric)
  • Telecoms industry experience
  • Strong data modelling skills
  • Experience with large-scale reporting environments
