About the position
Our client, a leader in the Telecommunications / BPO sector, Durban, is looking to fill the position of Senior BI Analyst.
Purpose of the Role:
To lead reporting, dashboarding, and performance analysis across telecoms products and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse telecom data (subscriber, billing, campaign, and usage data).
- Monitor and report on KPIs (ARPU, churn, revenue, campaign ROI).
- Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI and Jasper reports.
- Translate business requirements into data models and reporting solutions.
- Automate reporting processes and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with IT and data teams.
- Troubleshoot data issues and resolve escalations.
- Deliver monthly and ad hoc reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate
- Degree or Diploma in IT, Information Systems, or related field
- 3-5 years' experience in BI / Data Analysis
- Strong SQL, Power BI, and Google Analytics
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Jasper Reports)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Advantageous:
- Power BI (MS Fabric)
- Telecoms industry experience
- Strong data modelling skills
- Experience with large-scale reporting environments
