What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) You'll be responsible for preparing and reviewing management accounts, overseeing financial reporting, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The role includes ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, strengthening internal controls, and contributing to effective risk management. You'll work closely with the Head of Finance and broader leadership team, providing insights that support sound commercial and strategic decision-making. Once you've settled in, you will be overseeing the Junior Accountant. Where you'll be doing it Our client operates in the renewable energy sector, delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. The organisation is respected, project-driven, and committed to high standards of governance and sustainability. You'll join a young, professional, family friendly, high ethics based and collaborative team working on projects with real environmental and economic impact. The role is office based, Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm in Blackheath currently but there are plans to move in the coming months, locations discussed have been Century City and Bellville so far, nothing is set in stone yet. What you'll need You'll hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least five years' experience in accounting. Ideally articles experience with 2 years post articles. If no articles, we'll consider a degree with minimum 5 years' experience. Professional registration and a postgraduate qualification are advantageous. Strong experience in management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting is essential, along with solid knowledge of IFRS, tax, and compliance. We're ideally looking for someone with renewable energy experience or a technical type industry that is projects related. At least 1 year's leadership experience is required.
