About the position
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Scrum Master to lead two high-performance teams—one focused on Cloud for Customer (call-center technology) and the other on Digital Marketing.
The successful candidate will be proactive, hands-on, and capable of ensuring seamless delivery through strong facilitation, communication, and leadership skills.
This is a contract position based in Cape Town, On-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Facilitate Teams: Act as the Scrum Master for two teams, guiding them in Agile and Scrum practices, and fostering a results-oriented environment.
- Ensure Delivery: Drive the teams to meet their commitments, remove impediments, and support continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear, transparent communication with team members, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Foster Agile Mindset: Promote Agile principles beyond Scrum ceremonies, embedding an Agile and delivery-focused culture across teams.
- Team Support & Development: Support team members in their professional growth, encourage collaboration, and cultivate high-performance team dynamics.
- Monitor Progress & Metrics: Track team progress, analyze metrics, and report on delivery status and team health.
- Bridge Gaps: Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity of goals and priorities.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Scrum Master in a professional environment with real-world project delivery; certifications alone are not sufficient.
- Hands-on Approach: A proactive, "do-er" mindset with a strong focus on enabling delivery rather than merely facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong Communication Skills: Able to effectively communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership & Facilitation: Skilled in guiding teams through challenges, facilitating discussions, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience working with cloud-based solutions and digital marketing initiatives is advantageous.
- Personality & Adaptability: Capable of managing diverse, high-performance teams with varied personalities and skillsets.
- Results-Driven: Committed to ensuring that teams deliver value on time, within scope, and to the expected quality standards.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience working with call-center technologies or SaaS cloud solutions.
- Prior experience in digital marketing projects, social media, and below-the-line campaigns.
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks beyond Scrum (e.g., Kanban, SAFe) is a plus.
- Ability to mentor and coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices.
