About the position
Our client is looking for a Scrap metal buyer with at least 3 years expereince in scrap metal buying (preferably aluminium UBC). The role will encompass the following responsibilities: Key Requirements: Skills
Conducting onsite visits to scrap yards and collection centres
Perform due diligence and verify supplier legitimacy and material quality
Negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers
Minimum 3 yrs experience in scrap metal procurement(non -ferocious-especially aluminium)
Ability to perform yard inspections and evaluate material quality(baling, contamination, moisture etc)
Knowledge of export-related documentation and compliance
Good negotiation skills
Must be fluent in English
Must have a valid driver's licence and flexibility to travel within Gauteng
Strong network in the scrap and recycling sector in Johannesburg
