About the position
My client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a SAP Test Manager to join their team on a contract basis.
IT / FINANCE
Responsibilities
- Define and manage the overall testing strategy for the ECC to S/4HANA transformation programme.
- Establish testing governance, quality standards, processes and controls.
- Develop test plans, schedules, resource plans, reporting and quality gates.
- Lead SIT, UAT, regression, end-to-end, data migration, integration, security and cutover testing.
- Manage testing across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori and integrated third-party systems.
- Lead data migration testing, reconciliation and validation between ECC and S/4HANA.
- Validate business-critical SAP processes and system functionality following migration.
- Manage Test Leads, SAP Test Analysts, Business Testers and implementation partners.
- Coordinate testing across multiple workstreams and manage dependencies and risks.
- Lead defect triage, tracking and resolution.
- Provide testing status, risks and readiness reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Lead cutover rehearsals, production verification testing and hypercare validation.
- Ensure quality and testing activities support successful go-live and business continuity.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years' experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
- 5+ years' experience in a Test Management / Test Leadership role.
- Proven experience leading testing on large-scale SAP transformation programmes.
- Extensive SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Proven experience with ECC to S/4HANA migration or transformation projects.
- Experience managing Systems Integrators, external vendors and cross-functional testing teams.
- Strong experience with SAP testing across SIT, UAT, regression, data migration, integration and end-to-end business process testing.
- Experience with data migration, reconciliation and validation.
- Experience with cutover testing, go-live readiness and post-go-live/hypercare validation.
- Experience across SAP business processes such as Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales and Procurement.
- Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution or Logistics experience would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology would be advantageous.
