About the position
Purpose of the Role:
To develop and maintain strong customer relationships, drive new business acquisition and client retention, ensure sustained revenue growth by promoting a range of packaging products and solutions across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within industrial, commercial, and retail sectors.
- Conduct client visits to understand operational requirements and propose suitable packaging solutions.
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and product recommendations tailored to client needs.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through regular engagement and support.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing, delivery, and after-sales service.
- Track sales performance, update CRM systems, and report on pipeline activity weekly.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years' proven experience in field sales, preferably within packaging, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials and client application requirements is an advantage.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Matric certificate (essential); a post-matric qualification in sales or business is advantageous.
