Purpose of Role
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth for the company through the sale of new forklifts and the rental of existing fleet stock. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and delivering tailored material handling solutions to clients across various industries.

Main Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Actively sell new forklifts to clients across industrial, logistics, warehousing, and construction sectors
- Promote and secure rental agreements for the company's forklift fleet (short-term and long-term rentals)
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients
- Conduct site visits to assess client needs and recommend suitable equipment solutions
- Expand the company's footprint in key sectors such as mining, manufacturing, FMCG, and logistics
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer retention
- Provide excellent customer service and after-sales support
- Handle client queries, complaints, and service issues in a professional and timely manner Product Knowledge & Advisory
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of forklift models, specifications, pricing, and applications
- Advise clients on the most suitable equipment based on operational requirements
- Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions
Administration & Reporting:
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and sales contracts
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities using CRM systems
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Key Performance Indicators (KPI'S)
- Monthly and annual sales revenue (new forklifts)
- Rental fleet utilization rate
- Number of new clients acquired
- Customer retention and repeat business
- Sales pipeline growth and conversion rate

Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12; Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management (advantageous)
- Minimum 3-5 years' sales experience in:
- Material handling equipment / forklifts (preferred), OR
- Capital equipment / industrial sales / B2B sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
***Salary - R20,000.00 - R45,000.00 (Negotiable, based on skills, experience and in relation to current package)
