SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Location: Benoni, Gauteng
NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12.
- Sales/Marketing qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction and/or industrial product sales.
- Construction industry experience is essential.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales targets, action plans, and goals as set by management by servicing existing customers, acquiring new clients, and increasing sales.
The role involves building strong customer relationships, maintaining regular call cycles, ensuring stock levels, and collaborating across departments to deliver tailored solutions,
while maintaining a professional approach, accurate administration, and strong client relationship management.
Minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 minimum requirement.
- A sales or marketing qualification would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction and/or industrial product sales.
- Good knowledge of various construction products and clients.
- Willingness to undertake country trips when required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
- Possession of a valid, unendorsed driver’s licence.
- Computer literate.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Service existing and new customers effectively by maintaining a regular call pattern.
- Form dynamic business relationships with existing and new customers.
- Acquire new customers and new business.
- Increase sales with existing customers.
- Ensure that customers always have sufficient stock.
- Solve problems efficiently.
- Maintain a professional business attitude in all daily transactions.
- Maintain sound administration practices, including reports.
- Manage client relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally between all departments to deliver solutions tailored to the client’s needs.
