Sales Representative - Agricultural Sector (Afrikaans-Speaking)
Location: Johannesburg (with regional travel)

My client, an established and fast-growing company in the agricultural sector, is expanding their sales team and seeking a Sales Representative with strong sales experience and a passion for the outdoors.
The role requires fluent Afrikaans communication, extensive travel, and the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships in the poultry and agricultural industry.
The successful candidate will be assessed on:
- Achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Growth of the customer base within allocated regions
- Quality and consistency of client relationship management
- Accurate reporting of sales activities and pipeline management
To support high performance, the company offers:
- Basic Salary: R20,000 - R40,000 (experience-dependent)
- Commission: R10,000 - R80,000 per month (performance-based)
- Company bakkie (single cab) + fleet card (work use)
- Company cellphone
- Optional company pension fund
- Full product training (poultry knowledge not essential)
Ideal candidates will have:
- A proven track record in sales
- Fluent Afrikaans (essential for client interaction)
- A passion for agriculture and achieving measurable results
- A valid driver's licence
- Willingness to travel extensively and spend time away from home
- Professionalism, attention to detail, and strong teamwork skills
Qualifications:
- Matric (required)
- Diplomas or degrees in Sales, Marketing, Business, Finance, or Management advantageous
Daily Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities
- Present and sell the company's poultry-related products
- Report weekly/monthly on sales performance
- Travel to various farms, facilities, and client sites as required
Additional Information
- Office hours: 08:00 - 16:30, with extended hours often required in sales
