Minimum Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in heat exchanger design and sales
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer principles
- Experience in managing Client relationships and developing new business opportunities
- Proficient on MS Office Suite & any CRM systems
- Ability to converse in both English & Afrikaans
Responsibilities
- Convert qualified leads into deals onto the system
- Collaborate with the Design Engineer to capture detailed technical & product requirements
- Determine whether Customer needs align with standard, configurable, bespoke, or project based products
- Drive quotation process by coordinating technical input & ensure accuracy in pricing & delivery timelines
- Keep all deals updated with close dates, delivery timelines, & commercial terms
- Prepare & present technical and commercial quotations to Clients, supported by the Design Engineer
- Maintain weekly follow-up routines using email, phone calls, & CRM updates
- Negotiate pricing, terms, & delivery schedules within company guidelines
- Convert accepted quotations or purchase orders into 'Won Deals'
- Forward purchase orders to Operations & confirm delivery dates
- Maintain communication with Customers regarding production progress, shipment, & delivery
- Coordinate with Finance to confirm invoicing & delivery arrangements
- Notify clients when products are ready & arrange for delivery or collection
- Qualify leads by matching requirements against company’s ideal Customer profile (ICP) & product portfolio
- Assign qualified leads to appropriate pipelines and refer unqualified leads where necessary
- Maintain up-to-date lead records & status updates
- Send confirmation emails for order receipts & expected delivery dates
- Update customers on manufacturing progress & dispatch readiness
- Ensure smooth handover to Customer Service for delivery and invoicing
- Conduct post-delivery follow-ups and satisfaction surveys
- Identify upselling opportunities for replacement units, spares, or new projects
- Keep HubSpot CRM records accurate and updated at every sales stage
- Maintain an active pipeline with clear deal stages and closing probabilities
- Prepare regular reports on leads, quotations, and performance metrics
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and share Customer insights and trends
