About the position
The role involves managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pool shops, builders, architects, developers, and OEMs. Ensure regular contact through calls, visits, and email.
- Sales Growth:
- Drive sales through strategic plans, targeting a minimum 25% market share across thermal, safety, environmental, and automatic pool covers.
- Dealer Training:
- Provide product and installation training for outlying dealers and certify both installers and counter staff.
- Customer Service:
- Manage customer enquiries, recommend products, close sales, ensure COD payments, and deliver high-quality after-sales service.
- Operational Execution:
- Oversee measurements, fittings, deliveries, and ensure timely, complete, and quality service (OTIFQ).
- Feedback & Compliance:
- Act on customer feedback, ensure CPA compliance, and resolve complaints and snags promptly.
- Marketing & Promotion:
- Represent the brand at industry shows, implement marketing campaigns, and communicate product updates through newsletters and direct mailings.
- Industry Involvement:
- Attend NSPI meetings and actively network to stay informed and build referrals.
- Sales Performance:
- Achieve monthly sales targets (R200,000), maintain a 40% conversion rate, and ensure consistent quote generation.
- Brand Development:
- Contribute to brand visibility, product innovation, and customer-centric improvements within the organisation.
Key Objectives:
- Meet/exceed personal and branch sales targets.
- Maintain a minimum 40% conversion rate.
- Deliver all products/services on time and at the right quality.
- Uphold customer satisfaction with zero unresolved complaints or snags beyond 7 days.
- Ensure zero overdue debtors (30+ days).
- Implement and review customer strategies monthly.
Daily Activity & Reporting:
- Engage with key market players, close sales, and collaborate with the internal sales and distribution team. Report to the Operations Manager in Cape Town.
Requirements:
- A matric/Grade 12/or equivalent.
- Own transport and a valid driver's license.
- At least 2 years appropriate sales experience.
- Excellent English and Afrikaans communication Skills
- Computer literate i.e. communicates via email, be able to write a business letter,
- use Word and Excel and be able to learn Zoho.
