About the position
Are you ready to use your financial planning skills to help individuals protect their futures? Is this you? You're someone who builds strong relationships, communicates with empathy and clarity, and understands the real-life impact of good financial advice. You enjoy guiding clients through personal risk and retirement planning, and you're detail-oriented, organised, and client-focused, ready to grow your advisory career in a supportive environment. What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it) You'll be advising individual clients on personal risk cover, retirement planning, and policy structures that suit their financial goals. Your role will involve regular client consultations, updating portfolios, reviewing policies and benefits, and ensuring all client records are accurately maintained. You'll also be handling queries, facilitating switches or claims where needed, and ensuring compliance is always met. Your focus will be on delivering tailored advice and excellent client service. Where you'll be doing it Our client is based in Bellville in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, a well-regarded financial services provider with a strong track record in retirement planning and insurance solutions. The culture is professional and close-knit, with a focus on integrity, ongoing development, and genuine client impact. You'll be supported by an experienced team and a strong administrative backbone, allowing you to focus on what you do best: serving clients. This role is office-based with flexible working hours. What you'll need You'll need a BCom degree and at least 2 years of experience as a Financial Planner or Financial Advisor. Solid knowledge of risk and retirement products is essential, and you should be confident handling policy documentation, benefit structures, and client consultations fluently in both Afrikaans and English. What you'll get You'll join a respected business offering long-term career opportunities, a supportive team culture, and a chance to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Expect a competitive salary (no commission), structured processes, and clients who value trusted financial guidance.
