RELIABILITY ENGINEER!

Our client in the manufacturing sector is on the hunt for a Reliability Engineer with a GCC Certificate(or busy with current studies), essential for appointment as a GMR 2.1.
This role is all about ensuring asset integrity across its full lifecycle, driving reliability, and optimising plant performance.
You’ll lead the charge on maintenance systems, troubleshoot daily plant issues (with a strong focus on PLCs and hydraulics), and develop proactive maintenance plans that tackle obsolescence and ensure long-term operational excellence.

Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma/Degree/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Needs to have had at least 4years of experience in Improving Equipment Reliability and
- Asset Care/Maintenance
- In Possession of or in process of obtaining the Government Certificate Competency is essential for GMR2.1 appointment.
- Experience and knowledge in conducting equipment inspections, condition assessments, compliance audits and producing equipment condition reports is essential.
Responsibilities:
- PLC System Integration and maintenance to ensure equipment is integrity and Functionality is maintained.
- Development of Plant Asset Care Plan using Reliability Centred Maintenance processes.
- Responsible for the maintenance and updating of all asset care plans.
- Development, implementation and optimisation of asset life cycle strategies, focus on electrical instrumentation, SCADA development and automation.
- Troubleshooting and fault diagnostics on PLC-controlled equipment.
- Programming changes to PLC programs using relevant logic format.
- Plans and ensures Repairs to computer-based equipment.
- All other PLC and drive-related works that need to be attended to.
- Design, control, installation, and commissioning of projects.
- Periodic standby duties for the Plant to ensure production is least impacted by breakdowns.
- Training of relevant engineering personnel on new systems.
- The main function of this role is to provide specialist guidance whilst ensuring the functional integrity of the asset, for its life cycle, is maintained and managed to ensure it retains its integrity.
- Co-ordinating maintenance systems, implementing improvement methods, analysing and finding solutions to everyday plant maintenance issues with the main focus being on Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) and hydraulics.
- Development of a maintenance plan for all assets on site. The Maintenance plan and reliability needs to ensure that the integrity, obsolescence, and end of life cycle of the asset is addressed timeously, to actively inform of changes, replacements and improvements that need to be effected.
