About the position

Quality controller
To ensure that the material purchased from suppliers is of acceptable standard as per agreed grade specification.

Main Responsibilities

• Qualifying of material delivered.
• Making necessary adjustments on material delivered. 
• Informing procurement officer of any adjustments made on major suppliers’ deliveries.
•  Quality of bales to be despatched against the grade specification.
• Training/ educating suppliers’ sorters on the acceptable grade specifications.
• Providing good customer service to the suppliers.
•  Samples of non-conforming material should be collected and given to procurement officer.
• Pictures of non-conforming material should be taken using a camera.
•  PPE.
• Site risk management.
• Health and safety inspections.
•  Health safety meetings.
• Doing incident/accident investigations and reports.
• Quality.
•  Problem solving.
• Customer service levels.
• Supplier service levels.
• Teamwork.
• Self-discipline.
• Product Knowledge.

Requirements/ Qualifications 

• Grade 123-5 years experience NQF 4
