The Role: Quality Controller ISO 9001
This role exists to ensure that all products leaving the facility meet strict ISO 9001 quality standards. You will oversee quality systems, guide a small team, conduct audits, and drive corrective actions across the manufacturing floor. The role is both hands-on and analytical, requiring someone who can interpret data, identify risks early, and implement effective process improvements that support consistent high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality control activities with 5+ years of experience (including 15 years in a supervisory or leadership role).
- Oversee and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Conduct internal audits, quality inspections, and implement corrective and preventative action plans.
- Analyse production data and utilize statistical techniques to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to resolve issues quickly and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain reports, documentation, and quality records using Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure audit readiness at all times.
About You
- 5 years of quality control experience, with 15 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Diploma in engineering, physical science, quality assurance, or a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and hands-on experience managing a QMS.
- Skilled in data analysis, problem-solving, and statistical techniques.
- Experience in a manufacturing or wood-working production environment.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for reporting and data management.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent communication skills across all organisational levels.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong interpersonal ability and collaborative working style.
