Project Manager

About the position

Our telecommunications client is looking for a proactive Project Manager with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience to manage end-to-end project delivery. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• POTN Execution: Manage all technical aspects of Power and Telecommunications/Transport network projects, including fiber optics, microwave links, and associated power infrastructure.
• Site Management: Coordinate site surveys, construction, installation, and commissioning activities across the Johannesburg region and surrounding areas.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, contractors, local municipalities, and utility providers to secure wayleaves and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks (technical, environmental, or logistical) and implement mitigation strategies.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Track project costs, manage procurement of materials, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all project activities adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality policies (OHS Act compliance).
• Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to management, highlighting milestones, delays, and resource requirements.
