My client based in Cape Town (North) is currently looking for a Project Manager to join them on an independent contract basis
3 Day in office hybrid model / Cape Town based /
Seeking a delivery-focused Project Manager to support and drive customer-facing financial services products within a fast-paced, Agile technology environment.
This role is ideal for a hands-on project or delivery professional with experience in lending, credit or financial services systems who enjoys working across business and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from initiation through to delivery and close-out within an Agile delivery environment.
- Work closely with Technology, Operations, Finance, Credit and Risk teams to deliver business value.
- Translate business and technical requirements into clear delivery plans, user stories and project artefacts.
- Support configuration and optimisation of system rules, workflows and operational strategies to improve product and process performance.
- Manage delivery backlogs, priorities, dependencies and risks.
- Coordinate testing and quality assurance activities to ensure stable, high-quality releases.
- Communicate progress, risks and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and senior team members.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in project delivery, business analysis or systems analysis.
- Experience within a credit, lending, payments or collections environment will be highly advantageous.
- Strong documentation and requirements management skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL and strong Excel capability.
- Exposure to Agile delivery frameworks.
