About the position
Our client is seeking a hands-on and technically strong Project Manager to assist with the planning, coordination, execution and delivery of multiple site-based projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting project scope, schedules, budgets, resource planning, contractor coordination, stakeholder communication and project close-out.
This role will suit someone with a Civil or Mechanical Engineering background who is organised, proactive, deadline-driven and comfortable managing multiple moving parts across internal teams, contractors, vendors and operational stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with project planning, scope definition, schedules and budgets.
- Coordinating project teams according to project requirements, milestones and deadlines.
- Managing project resources, workload planning and project priorities.
- Tracking project spend, budgets, expenses and progress against agreed timelines.
- Coordinating with contractors, vendors, procurement and internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring site/project progress and identifying risks, delays or constraints.
- Assisting with mitigation plans and resolving project-related issues.
- Supporting design, procurement, construction and execution phases where required.
- Maintaining project documentation, project updates, close-out packs and relevant records.
- Ensuring project work is completed in line with company procedures, safety standards, quality requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Supporting effective project handover and closure.
- Promoting a strong food safety and quality culture.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant Project Management qualification will be advantageous.
- Project Management experience in a technical, construction, engineering or site-based environment.
- 3+ years' project management experience preferred.
- Hands-on construction/site experience will be highly advantageous.
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, internal teams and project stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project planning, budgets, timelines, risks and project documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or project activities simultaneously.
- Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
