Production Supervisor

About the position

A dynamic organization based in Germiston is looking to employ a Production Planner with 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Trade Tested Mechanical Fitter
• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Candidate must have 3 years’ supervisory experience
• Must be able to successfully manage a team of 5 employees
• Quality control and management of projects /jobs.
• Ensure repair evaluations and quotations are timeous and accurate.
• Manage and check quality of outsourced processes i.e. machining, heat treatments etc.
• Re-design of components and parts including production of drawings.
• Pricing of components – incl. Quotations from suppliers
• Manage and perform electric assemblies on electrical machinery
• Manage and perform hydraulic assemblies on hydraulic machinery
• Manage and perform other assemblies on other machinery
• Manage and perform tool jobs and assemblies
• Measuring and marking up of components
• Machine modifications and rebuilds
• Plan workshop maintenance
• Workshop staff management and training including training plans
• Train junior staff and assist senior management in designing job specific training programs
• Manage and co-ordinate all after sales issues such as customer complaints, warranty issues, spares sales etc.
• Manage the re-order proposals for production and repairs
• Manage the stock adjustments accurately and hand over to accounting department
