Production Planner

About the position

A Permanent position is available for a Production Planner with experience working in an FMCG Supply Chain environment.

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Coordinating and steering the Sales and Operations Planning process
• Ensures adherence to the outlined processes for Sales and Operations Planning and demand planning
• Root-cause analysis of relevant front-end and back-end supply chain metrics and taking suitable action
• Ensuring the completion of action items decided in Sales and Operations Planning meetings
• Develop and execute product demand plans to meet organisation goals
• Manage demand planning and management processes for new and existing products
• Work with sales team, customer input and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy
• Obtain, analyse, and interpret supply chain relevant data
• Use analysis results to improve supply chain processes, performance and to reduce costs
• Perform analyses with this data using analytical models and mathematical analysis
• Forecasting, capacity planning, demand planning, warehouse capacity planning, production planning

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management
• Logistics is preferred but not essential
• Minimum 3 years' FMCG working experience within a Supply Chain environment
• Demonstrated experience reducing cost or improving efficiency in previous jobs
• Working experience within a Multinational is an advantage
• Knowledge and understanding of Material Requirements Planning principles
