About the position

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Control panel wiring: Accurately wire control panels from diagrams or schematics.
• Electrical schematic reading: Quickly interpret layout drawings and wiring instructions.
• Component installation: Mount and connect relays, PLCs, terminal blocks, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Wire preparation: Strip, crimp, terminate, and label wires neatly and to spec.
• Tool handling: Use hand and power tools efficiently (crimpers, wire strippers, torque drivers, etc.).
• Production line familiarity: Experience working within station-based assembly environments.
• Fault-finding basics: Identify and correct simple wiring errors or bad connections
• Safety awareness: Follow electrical safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Quality control: Perform visual inspections and basic continuity checks during or after assembly.

About The Employer:

Our client based in Maitland is seeking for a reliable and skilled Panel Wireman to join their production line team. He/She will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels in accordance with schematic drawings and production standards. The ideal candidate must have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a team-based assembly line.

Minimum Requirements




- Must have Matric or equivalent
- NQF Level 3 qualification will be advantageous
- Must have wireman license
- Must be Trade Tested.
- Must have between 2-4 years experience
- Consistent and focused
- Must be detailed orientated
- Must be desciplned and focus driven
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Must be physically fit.
