About the position
ENVIRONMENT:
Our client, a leading retailer, is seeking an experienced National Tenders Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end tender process. The role requires a strong understanding of tender requirements and protocols, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders nationwide to secure successful outcomes.
DUTIES:
Tenders and RFQs
- Act as the primary contact of the business for all matters related to tenders nationally.
- Ensure timeous and accurate completion of SBD Forms
- Co-ordinate with regional resources to ensure timeous completion and submission of tenders nationally.
- Liaise with regional sales departments to ensure accurate and timeous preparation of quotes for submission with completed documents.
- Ensure tender submissions are complete and all required documents are included in the submission.
- Ensure that tender and RFQ submission logs are kept up to date for reporting purposes.
- Review received tender opportunities to identify and remove fraudulent tenders and scams.
Customer Communication
- Ensuring all tender portals are kept up to date with the correct company details including but not limited to company registration number, VAT number, BBBEE level etc.
- Liaising with various departments to ensure that updated documentation is received timeously
- Maintenance of National Contracts folder on shared drive.
Reporting and Administration
- Extract and distribute CSD Summary Reports monthly
- Follow up and document outcomes on submitted tenders and RFQs
- Ensure company documents are kept up to date in a centralised cloud storage facility.
- Ensure Tender Register is kept up to date with submitted tenders and RFQs and their outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Five years of experience in a similar role.
- Deep understanding of Tenders Processes
- High Attention to Detail
- Excellent Deadline Management Skills
- Highly professional with excellent communication skills
- Strong MS Office Skills.
