As a result of an awarded major EPCM project in Namibia, the client is seeking a motivated Mechanical Field Engineer to join on site project team on 6:2 roster

About the role

  • Provide on-site engineering support to construction teams and contractors.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications and resolve technical issues in the field.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure mechanical works meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Verify that installations comply with EPCM contract specifications and industry codes.
  • Liaise with project managers, design engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate schedules and ensure timely delivery of mechanical components and services.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Recommend design modifications or field adjustments when necessary.
  • Ensure all mechanical work is performed in accordance with site safety protocols.
  • Support environmental compliance related to mechanical systems and installations.
About you

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in mining, construction, or industrial projects 3–5 years.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with site safety standards and EPCM processes.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and reporting tools.
