You're a technically strong Mechanical Engineer with a flair for problem-solving and a passion for engineering design. You thrive in hands-on environments, enjoy collaborating with manufacturing and fabrication teams, and are comfortable liaising directly with clients to understand and deliver on technical requirements. You're solutions-focused, adaptable, and ready to make a real impact in an industry that values practical innovation.
You'll be designing and engineering ventilation systems for mining and industrial environments, leading the technical charge from concept through to installation. Your work will include reviewing technical specifications and drawings, conducting system assessments and performance evaluations, and collaborating closely with fabrication teams to ensure successful execution. You'll ensure all systems meet regulatory and safety standards, support product development, and engage with clients to deliver tailored solutions that meet their operational needs.
Our client is a specialist engineering firm within the mining ventilation and industrial systems space. You'll need a BEng or BSc in Mechanical, Mining, or a similar Engineering field, along with around 5 years of experience in mechanical or ventilation engineering. Exposure to mining, heavy industrial, or manufacturing environments is preferred, as is a sound understanding of mine ventilation systems. The ability to work closely with fabrication teams and a practical, hands-on mindset are key. An existing industry network will be a bonus.
