Mechanical Design Engineer

About the position

A well-established company in the East rand is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer from the manufacturing industry.
Minimum Requirement

• Matric 
• Mechanical Engineering Degree 
• AutoCAD experience essential 
• Inventor 3D experience advantageous 
• Previous experience in a similar industry 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

• Create and update 3D models and drawings in Inventor 3D
• Complete designs and issue customer approval, assembly, and manufacturing drawings
• Prepare Manufacturing Instructions (MI’s) and procurement drawings for contract-specific equipment
• Read and interpret customer specifications and apply them to designs
• Maintain and update contract and job drawing files
• Liaise with sales, engineering, purchasing, production, and quality departments to ensure project accuracy and delivery
• Assist sales with technical queries, drawings and mechanical details
